Vehicles / Apparatus

Fairfax County CERT owns and operates several vehicles which aid the organization in accomplishing its various missions. Two of our most important multi-function vehicles are our step vans, the white and green vans pictured below. They serve as canteen units providing food and drinks to firefighters and police officers on the scenes of major incidents.  They also act as outreach platforms for our members to go out in the public and deliver information about emergency preparedness.  In the case of an emergency or disaster, they can serve as an incident command post allowing scene operations to be based there. Drivers for these vehicles must pass the Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) in order to be qualified to drive the vehicles.
