Shelter Team
The Shelter Team is trained to deploy shelters that can be during exercises and operations. The current main shelter we use is the ASAP-18, a large tent that can be heated or air conditioned with an additional generator powered HVAC unit. CERT maintains one unit for quick deployment at the CERT Station. For more information about this tent look at these links:

The team trains twice a year in the spring and fall unless we are asked to deploy the tents at some point during the year. CERT member wishing to join the team should be in good health, able to carry weights up to 60 pounds, and able to work on their knees or on a short ladder. The practice allows each team member to learn the procedures for erecting the shelter.
If you are interested in joining the team, contact James Sobecke at operations@fairfacountycert,org.
